The Place 2 Beer
We visited “The Place 2 Beer” for the first time by motorbike.
As real Belgians we liked the beer concept so much we decided to go back with our whole family and our dog Zivko.
Peggy and Francis come from Scherpenheuvel and have recently moved into their B&B in Krinkelt. They are pleasant people who find the care for their visitors very important.
As the name suggests, the entire B&B is immersed in a beer atmosphere.
They have 2 apartments and 5 super cool beer rooms:
The Chimay Room
The Old Beerzel Room
The Achouffe Room
The Duvel Room
The Golden Dragon Room
The B&B also has a cozy cafe with a spacious terrace during the summer, also for non-guests.
At the back you have a terrace and petanque court available only for the guests.
Inside you have a cozy living space with several fridges with the most delicious Belgian beers at democratic prices, of course there is also wine and soft drinks available.
Nearby is a cozy Italian restaurant, a Brasserie where your dog is allowed and there is also the possibility to have pizzas delivered.
Every morning they provide you with a super tasty breakfast and a luxurious breakfast can also be requested.
Francis and Peggy are very good with dogs, they are cuddled and treated to treats.
Hiking is possible nearby or at Lake Bütgenbach, plenty of choice. There are numbered walks to be found, just like the “Wandelknopunten” in Flanders, you also have those in the East Cantons. There is also a large games cabinet for rainy days.
This B&B is a must for anyone who loves fun, beers and nature.
